AMCA Hosted the Armenian Vis Moot Teams
On March 22, the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia hosted the Armenian teams participating in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vis Moot) for the purpose of holding a mock hearing. The participating teams represented the American University of Armenia and Yerevan State University.
The Vis Moot is one of the most prestigious moot court competitions in the world in the field of international commercial arbitration and private law and has been held consecutively for 32 years. It brings together leading practitioners, distinguished academics, and students, contributing to the development and strengthening of the professional community.
As an institution playing an important role in shaping the culture of arbitration in Armenia, the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia attaches particular importance to the organization of this moot, with the aim of promoting and advancing the institution of arbitration in the country. The arbitrators of the mock hearing were Lilit Petrosyan, Director of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia; Aram Aghababyan, Co-Founder of CaseLens and AMCA arbitrator; and lawyer Shaghik Manchikyan. The Willem C. Vis International Commercial
