Memorandum of Understanding AMCA and SVAMC

2024-09-12

In the framework of Second Annual Armenian International Arbitration Conference AMCA’s Director Tatevik Matinyan and SVAMC’s Vice President, Dorothee Schramm signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center is a leading institution focused on technology-related disputes and innovation in arbitration and mediation, particularly in the field of tech and intellectual property.

According to MoU the Parties will explore opportunities to support and co-organize conferences, seminars, workshops, and other events—both in-person and virtual—bringing together leading experts from local and international arbitration communities. As part of the collaboration, AMCA and SVAMC may provide mutual marketing and logistical support for major events and engage with key stakeholders and partners to expand the reach and impact of such initiatives.

A key focus of the cooperation is the development of arbitrator networks. Both institutions maintain highly selective lists of arbitrators and are interetesed in expanding expertise across jurisdictions. SVAMC aims to increase the presence of arbitrators from outside the United States on its Tech List, while AMCA seeks to expand its pool of specialists in technology and IP-related disputes. In this context, the Parties will promote the value of joining each other’s arbitrator rosters, without any binding obligation.
