Mediator Qualification Training Course was Held

On November 17, an eight-day mediator qualification training course was launched, organized by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia. The programme is co-funded by the European Union.

Opening remarks at the launch of the course were delivered by Maksim Longangué, Deputy Head of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, and Tigran Dadunts, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia and Director of the Legislation Development Center. They presented the programme and its expected outcomes.

The training course was conducted by Council of Europe experts Sophio Chachava and Ramon Tena. On the first day, the experts addressed alternative dispute resolution methods and negotiations. Discussions were held on disputes and the possibilities for their alternative resolution. Participants who complete the training course will have the opportunity to take an examination at the end of this year. Those who successfully pass the examination will receive mediator qualification.
