International mediation day was celebrated by AMCA

On January 21, the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia organized an event dedicated to International Mediation Day. On this day in 1998, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted Recommendation R(98) on family mediation, giving impetus to the development of mediation in Europe. The purpose of the event was to bring together representatives of the mediation community in Armenia to discuss the challenges facing the field and the ways for its development.

The meeting became a professional platform where mediators discussed legislative reforms in the field of mediation, issues related to the application of mandatory mediation, as well as the directions adopted by AMCA in the field of mediation. Among the speakers were Lilit Petrosyan, Acting Director of AMCA, Davit Gharibyan, Acting Director of the ՕԶԿ Foundation, Gayane Demirchyan, President of the ICC of Mediators, and Vanik Margaryan, Chairman of the Council.
