Roundtable discussion on sports arbitration

In the Republic of Armenia, sports arbitration has significant potential for institutional development. Considering the importance and relevance of the topic, the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia, in cooperation with ICC Armenia, the Court of Arbitration attached to Arbitration LLC, and Resolve Academy, organized a round table discussion with the participation of field experts, athletes, federations, and law firms.

During the discussion, the participants addressed the definition of sports arbitration and sports disputes, the relevant legal regulations, global practice, and current developments in the field. During the discussion, the athletes raised the issues and concerns affecting them and received relevant clarifications. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to include an arbitration clause in contracts in order to ensure that disputes arising in the future may be referred to arbitration.
