AMCA at the 4th IBA–VIAC CDRC Vienna Mediation Conference 2026

From 1 to 6 July 2026, Lilit Petrosyan, Director of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia (AMCA), represented the Center at the 4th IBA–VIAC CDRC Vienna Mediation Conference 2026.

The conference is one of the leading international events in the field of mediation, dedicated to advancing the institution of mediation, strengthening international cooperation, and facilitating the exchange of best practices among dispute resolution professionals.

AMCA Director Lilit Petrosyan participated as a speaker in the panel discussion entitled “Can They Do That Really? The Role of Institutions in International Commercial Mediation.” During the discussion, leading practitioners explored the evolving role and growing significance of mediation institutions in the resolution of international commercial disputes.

In her presentation, Lilit Petrosyan introduced AMCA’s institutional mediation model, outlining the core principles underlying the Center’s work and the key functions through which AMCA supports both parties and mediators while ensuring the effective administration and conduct of mediation proceedings.

Alongside the conference, Lilit Petrosyan also participated as an Expert Assessor in the 11th IBA–VIAC CDRC Vienna Mediation & Negotiation Competition 2026.

The competition brought together teams from universities around the world, providing the next generation of dispute resolution professionals with an opportunity to develop and demonstrate their negotiation and mediation skills through realistic commercial dispute scenarios.

CDRC Vienna is more than a competition. It is an international professional platform where meaningful connections are established, knowledge and experience are exchanged, and a professional community is built—one that continues to grow and collaborate long after the event has concluded.

AMCA’s participation in CDRC Vienna 2026 marked an important step towards expanding international cooperation, promoting Armenia’s mediation framework internationally, and facilitating the exchange of global best practices in alternative dispute resolution.
