Memorandum of Understanding between AMCA and VIAC
During the Second Annual Armenian International Arbitration Week, the Director of AMCA, Tatevik Matinyan, and the President of the Vienna International Arbitral Centre, Nikolaus Pitkowitz, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
VIAC is a leading international arbitration institution based in Vienna and operating under the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, providing arbitration and mediation services for resolving commercial disputes worldwide.
The agreement reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to promote alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as an efficient, fair, and confidential means of resolving commercial disputes.
Under the MoU, AMCA and VIAC will cooperate in organizing joint conferences, seminars, and other professional events, as well as promoting each other’s services. The Parties may also exchange lists of arbitrators, mediators, and experts, and support the use of their respective facilities in Armenia and Austria for hearings and meetings.
The institutions will further exchange information, publications, and expertise in ADR, contributing to the development and wider understanding of dispute resolution mechanisms. This partnership marks an important step in strengthening AMCA–VIAC cooperation and enhancing the global presence of both institutions in dispute resolution.
