Victor Dumler has 23 years of professional experience and specialises in international arbitration cases. His practice covers disputes arising out of the supply of goods, equipment and energy resources, including oil and gas, as well as infrastructure projects, M&A and corporate matters, financial and advisory services, renewables and technology transfer.
Victor has represented clients in proceedings under major arbitration rules, including SCC, ICC, LCIA and ICSID, as well as before the International Commercial Arbitration Court and the Maritime Arbitration Commission at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
His arbitration experience dates back to 2005. He has acted in disputes concerning machinery, energy, construction, insurance, joint ventures and cross-border sale and purchase agreements. His experience also includes renewable energy, research and development, and technology transfer matters.
Victor has been appointed as arbitrator in ICC, International Commercial Arbitration Court, Maritime Arbitration Commission and other proceedings. Prior to founding Dumler and Partners, he worked for twelve years in the dispute resolution practice of one of the largest Russian law firms and served as chief in-house counsel in an oil trading company.
In addition to his legal practice, Victor has taught procedural law for several years and currently serves as a member of the Educational Program Board at the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg State University.
