Tom Cameron an international arbitration specialist with 15 years’ experience of conducting arbitrations under contracts governed by a wide range of civil-law and common-law systems of law. He has acted as counsel in over 30 arbitration cases with values in dispute regularly running to billions of dollars during my time practicing in the Paris and London offices of White & Case LLP. He is an English Solicitor Advocate and have experience of cases under numerous common-law systems of law (e.g., English, Singapore, Malaysian, BVI, Indian, Nigerian, Canadian). He has also argued numerous cases under civil-law systems of law (e.g., Dutch, Swiss, French, Maltese, Swedish, Icelandic, Finnish, Georgian, Ukrainian, Algerian, Thai, Korean, and Indonesian). His experience covers a broad range of sectors (e.g., energy, metals and mining, construction, technology, telecoms, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, private equity etc.). He has particular expertise in disputes in the energy sector (oil and gas and renewables), as a result of regularly representing some of the world’s largest energy companies. He also has substantial experience in arbitrations and expert determinations regarding pricing and valuation. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and have been appointed to a number of panels of arbitrators by arbitral institutions around the world.
