On December 8, the qualification training course for mediators began. In collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia, the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, and the European Union, the fifth training course for mediator qualification will be held from December 8 to 12.
At the beginning of the course, opening remarks were made by David Gharibyan, Acting Director of the Legislative Development Center, Tatevik Matinyan, Director of the Armenian Center for Arbitration and Mediation, and Kristina Petrosyan, Senior Program Officer at the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan. They introduced the program and expected outcomes.
The course is led by Council of Europe experts Sofio Chachavan and Ramon Tenan. On the first day, the experts discussed alternative dispute resolution methods and negotiations. A discussion on disputes and their alternative resolutions was held, and through the use of interactive methods, participants gained practical knowledge.
Participants who complete the training will have the opportunity to take an exam at the end of this year. Those who pass successfully will be awarded mediator qualifications.
