Natalya is an experienced lawyer specializing in public law, judicial reforms, and human rights protection.
Her legal career spans high-level roles within both governmental and international institutions. Natalya has worked as a legal expert in a democracy support program funded by the Government of the United Kingdom. Prior to that, she held managerial positions in Council of Europe programs focused on judicial and legal reforms.
Natalya has also worked in the “Center for legislation development” foundation as a public law expert, as well as at the National Security Council of Armenia, where she headed the legal department. She has coordinated several international cooperation initiatives, including the EU Twinning project in collaboration with partner institutions from France and Spain.
She has also served as Advisor and later Chief Advisor to the Human Rights Defender (Ombudsperson) of Armenia, contributing to the institutional strengthening of human rights protection mechanisms. In addition, Natalya has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the “National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction” Foundation.
