Svetoslav Ivanov is a partner at New Balkans Law Office and co-leads the firm’s disputes team. He acts as counsel in a variety of international arbitrations and as the senior litigation specialist at the firm in Bulgaria.

Svetoslav has 12 years of experience in arbitration and over 26 in litigation, having served as counsel for multiple high-profile clients in commercial proceedings; as General Counsel to the national totalizer (a gaming business) and having advised multiple energy and resources companies. He has acted in disputes before the competition authorities; consumer authorities and tax authorities.

Svetoslav has acted as counsel in a variety of international (VIAC, ICC, SCC) and Bulgarian institutional arbitrations involving international clients.

As Bulgaria has an economic trajectory similar to Armenia, his experience in Bulgaria is highly transferable to Armenian-focused disputes.
