Haris Meidanis is a legal professional with over 25 years of experience in commercial law, mediation, arbitration, EU law, and private international law, combining high-level legal practice with academic leadership, institutional governance, and international teaching. He currently serves as Director of the Athens Mediation and Arbitration Organisation (EODID) and Director of Studies for Mediator Training.
He is an internationally accredited Arbitrator and Mediator, Fellow and long-standing member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), and an active member of the Institute of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Athens. His professional focus includes complex commercial dispute resolution, institutional arbitration, and cross-border legal frameworks.
His academic career spans more than two decades, with continuous university-level teaching since 2003. He holds current appointments as Teaching Fellow at Nomiki Bibliothiki College and the University of Economics (Athens), and has served as Visiting Lecturer at the University of Athens, Bilkent University (Turkey), and EIPA Luxembourg. He has also delivered long-term judicial training in EU accession countries on private international and EU institutional law.
He previously served as Chief Editor for Mediation & Arbitration at Nomiki Bibliothiki Publishing House, Member of the Supervisory Board of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations, and as Legal counsel to the Greek Ministries of Economy and Development.
Haris Meidanis is the author of over 60 scientific publications in mediation, arbitration, EU law, and private international law. He is also the Writer of three books, Namely:
