On May 6, the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia (AMCA), in collaboration with the Armenian Bar Association (ABA) and the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), held a webinar titled “AMCA – Transforming Dispute Resolution in Armenia.”
The webinar brought together various professionals in the field, including lawyers, local and international arbitrators, arbitration case managers, diaspora and local legal experts, and other interested participants.
The discussions focused on the trends in the development of Armenia’s arbitration culture, AMCA’s establishment, current caseload and achievements. Speakers also addressed the judiciary’s support for arbitration, government plans to strengthen the framework, the importance of having an independent arbitration institution in Armenia, and ways to build trust and visibility among diaspora lawyers and businesses.
The webinar was moderated by Grant Hanessian, Chair of the AMCA Arbitration Council and an independent arbitrator.
