Andrea Wiktorin, head of the delegation of the European Union to Armenia, Grigor Minasyan, Minister of Justice, and Tigran Dadunts, Director of the “Legislation Development Center” Foundation of the Ministry of Justice, visited the construction site of the newly established “Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia”.
The newly appointed director of the center, Tatevik Matinyan, introduced the current renovation works, presented the process of reforms, the opening dates of the center and the negotiation process.
The minister spoke about the activity of the newly created Center, highlighting its role in the development of arbitration and mediation in Armenia and the region. According to the Minister, the Center is important in the sense that it will enable businesses operating both in Armenia and abroad, including those investing and planning to invest in Armenia, to entrust disputes to a specialized structure, which, involving the best specialists, will resolve them fairly and in accordance with modern standards and approaches.
Andrea Wiktorin also welcomed the establishment of the “Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia” and once again reaffirmed the readiness of the European Union to support further cooperation in this direction.
AMCA director Tatevik Matinyan noted that the Center has a tendency to solve not only domestic cases but also, become an international arbitration institution, involving both regional and international cases.
